Jun 05, Kathmandu - The Department of Drug Management has again requested the importers concerned to submit detailed information on the import, consumption and supply status of platinum group drugs and saline drugs used in cancer treatment.
The department has issued a notice directing them to immediately submit the country of manufacture of the drugs, price details, consumption details for the last three fiscal years and the projected plan for the upcoming fiscal year.
Although the concerned importers were previously asked to submit the details within three days by letter, the department stated that the notice was issued again as some companies had not received the details.
Similarly, in the case of drugs that have been registered but not imported, the concerned importers have been requested to submit the details with the reasons to the department within two days. The department stated that it is going to collect the details to make the supply and management of drugs necessary for cancer treatment effective.
