May 01, Kathmandu - This afternoon, the body of a man was recovered from the Bagmati River near Balkhu, close to the recently vacated squatter settlement. The deceased is approximately 55 years old.

According to police reports, the man has been identified as Indra Bahadur Rai, a native of Khotang who was residing in the Balkhu area. His wife, Sarita Rai, stated that he left home in the morning, citing concerns about his house's condition, and was found dead by the afternoon.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.
