Apr 04, Kathmandu - Kathmandu police have detained renowned artist Sagar Lamsal following allegations of rape made by a woman residing in the United States. Police arrested Lamsal, known in the entertainment industry by the nickname "Bale," after a young woman living in the United States accused him of raping her in the United States.

According to SSP Ramesh Thapa, the Kathmandu Police Chief, Lamsal was apprehended from Kapan Baluwakhani in Boudhnilkantha, Kathmandu.

The accuser, who is currently in the United States, reached out via Facebook, alleging that Lamsal raped her during a meeting held in America. The police are coordinating with the victim, though no formal complaint has been filed yet.
